The decoders are programmable with Motorola and DCC centers using all common programming modes. All decoders can be programmed in original state.
The decoders control the locomotive motor with load regulation using a motor voltage modulated with a high frequency of 18.75kHz. This results in extremely calm engine running and makes operation of bell armature motors
possible. Minimum speed, maximum speed and starting brake delay are programmable.
On some decoders the direction dependent light outputs are dimmable as also are the special function outputs.
An adjustable shunting mode makes very fine speed control in the low-speed operating range possible. Ranking mode and start/stop brake inertia can be switched on and off with f3 and f4.
Depending upon data format the Märklin brake section or the DCC conforming brake signal can be used for an automatic deceleration in signal sections.
All multi-protocol decoders with SUSI interface, a 4-way mini socket can have sound modules and LISSY mini receivers attached. The mini transmitter is connected to mini decoders using solder pads on the PCB.
Owing to the Memory function all decoders compensate for short losses of power. They can be used on DC or AC systems.
The DCC data format used conforms to the NMRA DCC standard and is compatible with all NMRA compliant DCC Systems.
