65050Intellibox® IR Cat No. 65 050 (Available Nov 08).

Intellibox-IR is the ultimate for all who would like to continue using old Motorola or DCC devices, Selectrix decoders, have their layout controlled, s88-feedback or want to switch routes.

Infrared Receiver The Intellibox-IR has an integrated infrared receiver, so that the IRIS remote control can be used directly (for Intelliboxes with Part No. 650 or 65000 the IRIS set Part No. 66500 can be used as remote control and receiver).

Virtual Locomotive Addresses

In addition to the fixed locomotive address, any address with a maximum of four digits can be assigned to a locomotive. Vehicles can be called up by their operating address or sequence number.

Multi-traction (Consist)

8 combinations with up to 4 locomotives per consist can be administered by the Intellibox. The entire consist is controlled with one speed control under the address of the first locomotive.

Feedback Monitor

The Intellibox-IR can not only evaluate LocoNet feedbacks, but also a maximum of 31 s88-feedback modules. The status of track sections can then be read directly from the Intellibox display.

Route control

The Intellibox route control can administer up to 48 routes. Each route can contain up to 10 switching processes.

Because an activated route can contain another route the flexibility of the routes can be extended.

Intellibox Upgrade Software 2.0 - Cat No. 65 020 (Extension of the Intellibox system software.) The Upgrade 2.0 is an extension for all Intelliboxes that were supplied with system software version lower than 2.0.

Upgrade 2.0 adds the following new functionality:

10000 Loco Special functions With appropriate DCC decoders special functions f1 to f9999 can be accessed.

Locomotive selection from the Dispatch Buffer

The Dispatch buffer contains all of the locomotive addresses which are currently under control by the Intellibox. The new software makes a selection list of these addresses available and the desired locomotive can be selected from this list directly.

Loco Find Function

As soon as a locomotive with DCC decoder is placed on the programming track the locomotive address is automatically read from the decoder and passed to a speed controller. Reload the displayed locomotive addresses The locomotive addresses shown in the Intellibox display when it is switched off are stored and are immediately available the next time it is turned back on without the annoying re-entry.

LISSY Mode

Each LISSY receiver can be monitored with the Intellibox. If a locomotive with LISSY transmitter is recognized the centre of the Intellibox the display shows the locomotive address.

DirectDrive

With the push of a button, control of the locomotive which passed a particular LISSY receiver can be taken over by a speed controller without inputting the address or name of the locomotive.

Route Control

For all devices without route control this system software will provide up to 48 routes.

The Upgrade software is available on the Internet free of charge for owners of the Intellibox-IR.

For older devices the software can be purchased.

66510 2IRIS - The Infrared Intellibox Controller. - Cat. No. 66 500

  • Direct control of up to 4 locomotives.
  • Address range 1-9999.
  • Special functions: function and F1 to F12.
  • Changes turnouts in address range 1 to 2048.
  • Activates routes which are stored in the Intellibox.
  • Supports all speed step (14-128 drive positions).
  • With 4 different channels, i.e. each Intellibox has 4 channels.
  • External Receiver with 5m cable

The infrared Intellibox control IRIS extends the Intellibox with an interior use wireless remote control with a range of up to 10m. With IRIS all locomotives on the digital layout can be selected and control its driving direction, speed, and special functions.

IRIS can switch all solenoids and select all routes which are stored in the Intellibox.

Remote Control

IRIS uses 4 different transmission channels, which can be selected with the A, B, C or D keys for controlling the Intellibox.

Each transmission channel can select a locomotive address for control, fully independent of the other channels. Furthermore each channel can have different solenoid device addresses assigned to the solenoid device keys.

The addresses selected for each channel are stored in the Intellibox non-volatile memory and are therefore available after turning the power off and on. If only one remote control is used, then the channel can be quickly changed with the help of the keys, between 4 locomotives or 4 groups of 4 solenoids.

If several remote controls are used, then each person can control a locomotive using a transmission channel, without affecting the locomotives of the others that are on different transmission channels.

The remote control has 4 different channels which makes it possible to use 4 transmitters in an area.

Important: To use IRIS with the Intellibox it must have system software Version 1.5 or higher.

IRIS Receiver External receivers can be connected via their 5m long cable at any location in the area.

If more than one receiver is required in certain spatial arrangements three additional external infrared receivers (66 520) can be connected in parallel with the first receiver via a Y- cable.

The IRIS set contains the remote control, a receiver, a manual, batteries.

Note: The Intellibox-IR (65 050) has an integrated infrared receiver, so that the IRIS remote control can be used directly. Intelliboxes with the Cat Nos. 650 or 65 000 require the IRIS remote control and an external receiver. It is not possible to connect an infrared receiver to the Intellibox Basic.

66010FRED-CS - The hand control especially for the central station. - Cat. No. 66 010

  • Direct connection to the central station
  • Low friction rotary control
  • Single hand operation
  • Switches light and up to 14 special functions
  • Large working radius

Suitably matching the Design of Central Station, the hand control has a large rotary speed control with end stop. This is very precise and low friction. It has a handing feel which you are undoubtedly looking for in Märklin devices.

It is ideal when shunting. With the FRED-CS in one hand one can drive "blind" and observe the locomotive from close proximity. One hand remains free for coupling or loading activities. With the 3m long spiral cable you have a large working radius.

A rocker switch changes the driving direction, so you can sense this at any time and are not dependent on the LED display.

The stop key is the emergency brake for the currently controlled locomotive.

The function keys can switch light and up to 14 special functions.

The locomotive to be controlled is assigned to the FRED-CS from the Central Station. Up to 31 FRED-CS can be attached to a Central station.

Supplied is a 3m spiral lead.

(Available now).
