The heart of the TWIN-SYSTEM is the TWIN-DECODER. This ensures that the control commands of the TWIN-CENTER are translated into control impulses for the loco motor.
The TWIN-DECODER reached its full potential with the TWIN-CENTER 6802, but it can still be used by all other previous Fleischmann control equipment - the FMZ-central unit 6800, FMZ-control 4, DIGITAL CONTROL DC 6803(C). It's "behaviour" is dictated by the capabilities of the control equipment.
TWIN-DECODER also understands a second language: DCC of the NMRA standard. With control equipment for this standard, the railway expert can control the TWIN-DECODER and run his loco accordingly.
By using the intelligent LocoNet connection of the TWIN-CENTER, your TWIN-SYSTEM can be individually linked up to your computer system to add in other controllers
With an answer-back facility connected to the s88 bus of the TWIN-CENTER, your railway network can even run fully on automatic!
Fleischmann also makes other components to operate multi-train layouts in conjunction with the TWIN-CENTER digital controller.
